The rooms were very large and all facing the beach, the hallway elevator was noisy especially late at night, but our door was right there... I would ask to be away from the elevator.
Top deck bar is awesome for lunch, and sunset dinner. Down stairs bars are cool and have beach side events in the sand. Always music playing down stairs for the beach. Get a rum runner with a floater ;)
CONS-- This place is very dated. The rooms just feel old and are a little bit on the dirty side. Mismatched tile in rooms. Little cracks on the walls. The room had a congregation of flying bugs hanging out around ceiling. I booked this hotel for my cousins 30th birthday celebration who was coming from out of state and upon our arrival was a little embarrassed of the older room conditions.
We ate at the restaurant/bar upstairs twice for breakfast, didn't much care for the swing table/chairs on the deck, and the place is old, so it wasn't the prettiest, but the food was good and reasonably priced.
Location location location, this hotel is on the softest sand beach I've been too in Florida. The water quality however is murky and greenish brownish. However many people seem to enjoy this beach, I for one enjoyed the sand. Also, it's a great place to visit low tide for seashells and tide pools! Hotel itself is okay, my room was decent and staff was friendly. Sun deck restaurant was amazing and those rocking tables are a new experience.
PROS--Great location. Within walking distance to many fun shops, restaurants and bars. Ocean view is spectacular. Servers on beach to take drink orders. umbrellas and chairs provided on beach. Nightlife is fun with live band and DJ. The Sundeck rooftop restaurant has excellent food, service and an amazing ocean view. Comfy beds. Hotel Starbucks will deliver right to your room. So all the amenities are excellent!
3rd floor was about perfect for room privacy and noise reduction, and a palm tree was right in the middle of our view, which was very nice.
If you are staying with children, note there are bars EVERYWHERE in this beach community and there will be noise and people cussing and some idiots, but the beach itself is a great environment for kids. Just don't complain about staying at a 'party' hotel if you don't want to partake!
This is a mixed review. Room # 518
Overall, it was okay. The views/location to everything was great. The room was clean but a bit dated. The hotel feels dirty everywhere else though. It has a party vibe in the afternoons, not great for families with young kids like ourselves. Think "Spring Break" except it was October. We did love the beach access and the playground on the beach though. The staff was also very friendly and the sun deck was amazing with great food.
We are 50 something and had a great time, we would go back here.
We did not try the bar attached on the beach, or the finer restaurant upstairs because we really wanted to get out and see all we could.
